Kennedy bay Development Concept

Kennedy Bay is an iconic and visionary new mixed-use coastal community set to transform the Port Kennedy coastline.

Developed by Western Australia Beach and Golf Resort (WABGR) and delivered by Place Development Australia, Kennedy Bay is a $425 million development that will transform unused waterfront real-estate into an activated and vibrant residential, commercial and cultural destination.

Rowe Group was engaged by Place Development on behalf of WABGR in July 2019 to lead a complex approvals process to facilitate the development of this key parcel of land.

Set over 66-hectares, it will become home to a thriving local economy with an activated retail and commercial precinct, world-class golf course and new clubhouse, over 900 residential lots and a new town centre.

With the Structure Plan approval in-hand, the next major milestone for the project has now been achieved with recent subdivision approval for the creation of 260 new residential lots.

It is anticipated that the first of the new residential lots will be released to the market during the first quarter of 2022.

Broader planning for the precinct includes an investment of $15 million by WABGR to redevelop The Links Golf Clubhouse, public jetty, golf-course and foreshore works, creating an attractive, new coastal tourist destination within the Metropolitan South-West.

Rowe Group has already obtained approval for the new Golf Clubhouse, the construction of which is now complete.  Approval for the redesigned Golf Course has also been obtained by Rowe Group with works now underway for the first 9-holes.

The approvals process was led by our General Manager, George Hajigabriel and Senior Urban Planner, Reyne Dial, together with Jake Spiteri our recent addition to the Rowe Group team.
