Goodman Australia appointed Rowe Group to obtain Planning Approval for a master planned industrial complex in the Hazelmere Industrial Precinct. The complex, situated on a 33 hectare site , is a high quality development within this established industrial precinct.
Gaining approval for the development was a challenging process due to several site constraints. This included appropriate management of on-site effluent disposal and stormwater because of the site’s proximity to sensitive environmental receptors, including Helena River and wetland areas.
In addition to the physical constraints, the site is included within a Planning Control Area and is subject to a Clause 32 Resolution under the Metropolitan Region Scheme. This necessitated the requirement to seek approvals from both the City of Swan and WA Planning Commission, adding an extra layer of complexity to the approvals.An Aboriginal Heritage Site exists on the subject site, which also required approval for the development under the Aboriginal Heritage Act.
As part of this process, we represented our Client at the State Administrative Tribunal and assisted in facilitating a Section 18 Consent under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972.
The complex is now completed and houses a number of national and multi-national tenants including Coca-Cola Amatil, Toll IPE and Linfox.
