The Mojo Urban Living Estate, located in Cockburn Central North, seeks to address the “missing middle” through a unique design response to an area characterised by medium to high residential densities which comprises small, freehold residential lots providing much needed diversity to the current housing and apartment market.
The project includes over 200 medium density lots providing for townhouses and small lot product in close proximity to the Cockburn Central Train Station and Regional Centre.
The project is a showcase for new urban living and has included a collaborative design approach with key builders to ensure the right product is produced to address the “missing middle” between freehold housing and apartment living. The development includes the development of two significant parklands, the upgrade and widening of Muriel Court and the provision of some elements of the regional drainage network.
From preliminary concept planning through to detailed design, Rowe Group played a critical role in the design and approvals phases for the Mojo Urban Living Estate. Rowe Group’s involvement in the project, included:
- Preliminary Concept Design and Investigation;
- Preparation of Structure Plan Amendments;
- Subdivision Design and Approvals;
- Forward Earthworks, Signage and Display Village Development Applications;
- Preparation of Local Development Plans;
- Liaison with Project Home Builders;
- Review of Lot Product Mix; and
- Review and Assessment of Proposed Single House Designs.
Future planning for the Mojo Urban Living Estate involves the investigation and planning of a Local Centre at the intersection of ‘Realigned Semple Court’ and Muriel Court.
